Poole Short Breaks - Activities for Young People with Additional Needs and Disabilities

Why Come to Poole Short Breaks

  • We have different activities to choose from such as arts and crafts, activity days (on the beach in the summer!), swimming, archery, gym & trampolining, watersports etc.
  • You can have a say about the sort of activities you would like to do in the future.

Poole Short Breaks also provides funding for other organisations to provide activities for Poole children and young people. Please see the Short Break leaflet under 'downloads' for more information.

Term Time Activities

Some activities are provided during term time as follows:

Tuesdays

Fortnightly soft play session at Lemur Landings (Tower Park) between 6.15pm and 8.15pm. This is a family session which you can access with your brothers and sisters. However you must be accompanied by an adult.  Contact for further information about obtaining a membership card for this session.

Sundays

A weekly family swim session at Montacute School Pool from 10.00 am until 12 noon. You must be accompanied by an adult. Contact for further information about how to purchase vouchers/book.

Holiday Activities

A variety of fun activities held during the school holidays for 5-19 years, including some activities for 8 upwards and 13-19 years.  These are held at different youth centres/venues depending upon activity, click here for listings.
