Helping families in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to find local childcare, services and activities
Au pairs are generally aged between 18 to 27 and their chief purpose for being in the country is to learn the language and assimilate the culture.
An au pair generally lives with you and treated as part of the family and are unlikely to be classed as a worker or an employee. Au pairs earn board and lodging and a small amount of money each week in return for informal childcare and light housework.
Childcare is a universal service which means provision is inclusive. Where service records are showing the SEND logo (as above) additional information is available on support for children with SEN and disabilities. See the Local Offer tab on the service record for the SEN information report.
