    Pre Schools or Playgroups

    Offer sessional childcare and early year’s education for children aged 2-5 years.  They usually fit in with the times and term dates of the local schools, however, some Pre-schools are now moving to being open all year round. Check the ‘Times/Availability’ on the individual FID records listed below.  Most pre-schools offer the free entitlement to childcare places for 3 and 4 years olds, some also include 2 year olds.  

    This type of childcare is registered and inspected by Ofsted (www.ofsted.gov.uk).

    SEND
    Childcare is a universal service which means provision is inclusive.  Where service records are showing the SEND logo (as above)     additional information is available on support for children with SEN and disabilities.
